Up & Away Speech Therapy was established to help parents and families in Bristol looking for more speech and language therapy support than they are currently receiving.
Meet Katie.
Katie is a qualified speech and language therapist, and a member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and Association of Speech and Language Therapists in Independent Practice (ASLTIP). She is also registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
Katie is a supportive and empathetic therapist, bringing enthusiasm and fun to all her sessions. She has experience delivering both 1:1 and group therapy across a range of settings, including nurseries, mainstream primary schools, and specialist primary and secondary schools. She has completed the Makaton Foundation Stage course.
Katie advocates a fully inclusive, holistic and person centred approach to the therapy process, ensuring the young person and parents are closely involved throughout. She also values multidisciplinary team working with other professionals, including education staff, occupational therapists and physiotherapists. Katie is passionate about empowering others to develop the skills needed to support their child’s speech, language and communication needs.
